What to Expect

Are you ready to take the wheel? Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to get back on the road, your first driving lesson with us is designed to be calm, professional, and tailored to your needs. 1. The Meet & Greet Every journey starts with a friendly welcome. Your instructor will meet you at your door or a pre-agreed location. Before we jump into the car, we have two quick legal requirements:
License Check: Please have your provisional driving license ready for us to verify. Eyesight Test: You’ll need to read a standard number plate from a distance of 20 meters.

2. Beginners: Your First Time Behind the Wheel If you have no previous driving experience, don’t worry—we won’t throw you into busy traffic!
The Nursery Area: We will drive you to a quiet “nursery area” away from main roads.
The Cockpit Drill: We’ll guide you through the “DSSSM” routine (Doors, Seat, Steering, Seatbelt, Mirrors) so you are sitting comfortably and safely. Moving Off & Stopping: Once you’re ready, we’ll cover the basics of moving the car away and stopping safely. Depending on your progress, we may even look at basic junctions.

3. Experienced Pupils: The Driving Assessment If you’ve had lessons before, we’ll start with a brief chat to understand your skill level. We’ll ask about your experience with:
Roundabouts and busy junctions.
Manoeuvres and hill starts. High-speed roads.
We will then conduct a driving assessment. If you aren’t yet comfortable driving away from your house, your instructor can drive you to a suitable location first.
